I am so fucking sick of people not indicating when they merge. It's like the most basic shit. It often makes me wonder how lazy our society has gotten in general if they cannot even hit the indicator lever when merging.
they don't want to pay the BMW subscription.
That's a thing?
20 cents a blink. It's why BMW drivers never signal.
For those finding this from All, the AA in NZ is like the AAA in the US, though we also have the AA like in the US and it's still called AA but it's not this AA.
We have two AAs? What is the one like in the US?
It seems they might use the acronym A.A. but: https://aa.org.nz/
That really cleared things up...
I’m not surprised by this news at all.
People don't know how to indicate when using a roundabout........every day, I see weird behavior.
I would rather see no indication rather than incorrect indication.
I reckon roundabouts must be one of the main areas where people aren't just unaware, but actually confidently incorrect. I've had plenty of conversations about roundabout rules and no one is more confident than those that are wrong.
Same in Sweden, it is very common for drivers to fear indicating in general
Nothing pissed me off more than people in front of me braking to a near stop, starting a turn and ONLY THEN INDICATING. You indicate before you take any action, flipping the peg because your fingers happen to pass it while turning the wheel achieves exactly nothing. It’s supposed to be a signal to other drivers that they should expect a change in your behavior, not a confirmation of what you’re already plainly doing!
Refreshing knowledge?
Its not that people don't know, they simply don't care
In the article it mentions that the areas people are most often wrong are the areas where there have been rule changes since they got their licence, so refreshers may be the most effective way to improve this score even if it doesn't help the people that don't care.
Somewhat, but roundabout indication rules seem very difficult for some to grasp.
