Keep in mind that you can buy/order additional shipping bins, so you can actually spread out your sections how ever you like without having the issue of running back to your shipping bin at the house.

You can also move existing Farm Buildings (including the Greenhouse once finished) for a fee by talking to Robin.

When it come to placement, consider moving the coop closer to the Water Pool, as there are certain critters that love to swim in water, and is utterly adorable to watch.

Definietely clean out a path south. That exit will be invaluable to you later.

Tbh, you're very early in the game and there is no time limit! Don't feel like you have to have your entire farm organised in year 1. While you explore the rest of the game and work on the community centre, you'll chip away at clearing your farm (and that will get easier as you upgrade your tools).

As others have noted, you can move buildings later. So for now, just put them where there is room. Once the farm is clear, take an in-game day or three to rearrange the layout — and if you do that and decide it's still not quite right, you can change it again.

I like to do big rearrangements in winter because there aren't crops or animals to negotiate. Some of my farms get rearranged every winter for the first few years, as my farm develops and needs change. It's all part of the process.

It can be a bit big at first but the Stardew Valley Farm Planner really helped me. Shows ranges of things like sprinklers and scarecrows. If you want to future-proof but be a little awkward in the meantime, I like to farm in 5x5 plots, connected as and when I like for larger plots. You can also make sure you're all lined up (Helps avoid "Crap, if I want a fence here i have to shift the ENTIRE farm by 1 tile" and such). Save your work and write down your url when done, you won't remember it.

I like to have 1 side be livestock (usually left) and the other farm land. But that can change depending on what kind of farm you want and what specializations you pick. Greenhouse is also a priority, so community center is a good focus. Make sure you get the seasonal crops for the greenhouse in Y1 if you can. Waiting for the second autumn because you missed a pumpkin sucks.

You can also look into sheds from Robin when you can afford them. They take up a relatively small area (2x4? I think?) so you can place your equipment in that footprint wherever you want a shed, then quickly move them out of the way, build, and move inside when you can afford it. Designate an area for silos that don't block parts of your farm you want to see, as they are tall. Upgrade tools as your farm grows (TACTICALLY. Watering can waits till winter, don't upgrade your hoe last day of the season when you need to replant the next day, or your axe when you need wood asap, etc), or it will get to be too much to keep up with energy- and time-wise

I agree with the comment saying you need a path to the southern exit.

One of my favorite tidbits is that, though the fences break down slowly, machines like mayo makers and lightning rods don't, so you can build your "fences" out of those and know you are safe.
