    real ad, they are playing the Internet games, getting free advertising as form of social media sharing and outrage, in hope to get some real customers, which is probably working, some ai entusiast out there

    I'm upvoting because I like the sentiment, but the photo looks fake. The "handwriting" is too perfect, the graffiti is behind the bottom text, and the rips look fake. Was this the original ad???

    I've seen that ad in NYC, too. Occasionally defaced.

    They're probably betting on free outrage publicity plus soulless capitalists taking it straight. But I hope the outrage may be strong enough that it doesn't net pay out for them.

    whether it's good or bad publicity, its still publicity. Companies strive for publicity, if anything defacating on it just adds monetary value.

    there's always going to be some individual who finds the advertisement appealing or just looks up the website of the advertisement
