Leaked documents indicate that Shuliak was the last person Epstein spoke to by phone hours before his alleged suicide in prison. It also emerged that Epstein had amended his legal will just two days before his death, in a seemingly deliberate move to ensure the young dentist received the largest share of his remaining fortune.

Despite their close association, US federal authorities did not include Shuliak among those involved or complicit in Epstein's sex crimes. She also never described herself as a victim of his practices, nor was she subjected to formal interrogations by the FBI or the victims' lawyers pursuing Epstein's estate.

there is nothing more sacred than the estate of an oligarch, think of the precedent if a serial SAer & trafficker got their dragon's heap seized! what will that mean for innocent slumlords, chemical plant owners, and mining magnates?

slippery fuckin slope to hold a rich person's money to account for the death and destruction they made that money from

I was gonna ask why it hadn't all been paid out to victims, but at least according to the article a lot of it was. "All" this heir gets is 100 million

On the one hand, why is there any left over?? Every single cent should have been given to victims, any financial institution that associated with him should have been forced to give his estate maxed-out loans that would instantly be liquidated to victims before the estate was declared bankrupt.

On the other hand, abolish inheritance period.

Does this have anything to do with the dentist chair he had on his island? Being serious, if he flew this dentist in to work, then there's a chance she might have been privy to something.

We know she is involved because the government isn't interrogating her as a conspirator despite being the primary beneficiary of his will and, according to this, being the last fucking person he talked to before "killing himself"

I think it's distasteful to suggest this when the trans community is repeatedly attacked as pedophiles.

If that wasn't gross enough, it's made even worse by the fact that the pedo in question literally helped to create the modern transphobic movement. Anyone who makes these kind of jokes deserves to be punched in the face.

I have a theory that these types of people intentionally reinforce being trans as taboo simply to take more sexual gratification out of fetishizing us.

Do you feel like this is true of all minority fetishism?

It seems like this would also hold true for raceplay/cuckolding fetishists who are overwhelmingly right-wing.

Yeah, a great deal of it is. I don't think the majority of those people go out of their way to make these demographics taboo though, they just except it as fact.

What I'm arguing is slightly different: powerful people like to decide what is good/bad, and then violate the norms they set for other people. It's not just about violating taboos, it's about defining and then breaking them.

Something something... All politics is sexual pathology.

Yeah for a (formerly) single issue podcast they are sure not really comprehensive. I don't mind that they don't cover the right wing conspiracy theories but her name has been in the news for 3 years.
