These people use far too much jargon. Especially liberal, nobody really seems to know what one is exactly, but they call each other and everyone they interact with one.
These people use far too much jargon.
It's very intentional, it allows them to change the meanings of words on the fly, then claim that the problem is your ignorance of what they really meant.
You just don't read enough theory.
posts 100 emojis, stickers, and gifs as you can see from the gigs, I have won now.
To them, liberal is everyone who isn't a ML who isn't a straight up neonazi.
I'm not so sure about that. Hexbear called me a fascist and a lib in the same thread. π

Omg
call myself a communist so people don't get the wrong idea about me
So...you a pro-authoritarian?
"Why yes, read on Authority." -Tankie response
Nah, communism can exist without marxism-leninism
It can but there's 99% chance that this person is ML
Oh definitely! That I didn't doubt haha
Still totalitarianism, which is a current that doesnβt have much differentiation from ML Stalinism.
Anarcho-Communism is not totalitarian friend.
But it is based on weird assumptions. Like, "your family doesnt have hierarchies and it works, why wouldn't you run the country in the same way". Uh um did you see some families? Things can get really fucked up. And I'm not even taking about the scaling issue.
This sounds like you might have some misconceptions about anarchy, that's ok :)
I can recommend Peter Kropotkin's "Mutual Aid" or this quick overview: https://theanarchistlibrary.org/library/bob-black-anarchy-101
But besides that, this comment thread was about whether communism is always authorotarian/totalitarian and I think I have shown that it is not.
How is a classless stateless society a totalitarian state? If there's a totalitarian state it isn't communist because it's a state. Not just totalitarian.
Basically, it feels like 99% of USeans think communist means ML including MLs themselves.
That's 100% by design from both ends. ML call themselves communist despite all the evidence to the contrary. And then they don't actually teach what communism is here. Just re assert ML claims that they somehow are as they attack them. China etc aren't any more AES in any meaningfully way than the west.
... but anti-western
Communist is still the wrong word if they want people not to get the wrong idea.

What is a Tankie?
Alternatively, a detailed blog post about Tankies.
(caution of biased source)
Basic Rules:
Sh.itjust.works Instance rules apply! If you are from other instances, please be mindful of the rules. β Basically, don't be a dick.
Hate-Speech β You should be familiar with this one already; practically all instances have the same rules on hate speech.
Apologia β (Using the Modern terminology for Apologia) No Defending, Denying, Justifying, Bolstering, or Differentiating authoritarian acts or endeavours, whether it be a Pro-CCP viewpoint, Stalinism, Islamic Terrorism or any variation of Tankie Ideology.
Revisionism β No downplaying or denying atrocities past and present. Calling Tankies shills, foreign/federal agents, or bots also falls under this rule. Extremists exist. They are real. Do not call them shills or fake users, as it handwaves their extremism.
Off-topic Discussion β Do not discuss unrelated topics to the point of derailing the thread. Stay focused on the direct content of the post, rather than engaging in arguments that lack mutual agreement.
Brigading/Trolling β If you're here because this community was linked in another thread, please refrain from maliciously voting, commenting, or manipulating the post in any way. This includes alt accounts. All votes are public, and if you are found to be brigading, you will be banned. Good-faith and honest communication is an exception.
Tankies can explain their views, but may be criticised or challenged for them. Any minor infraction of the rules may result in a warning and possibly a temporary ban.
You'll be warned if you're violating the instance and community rules. Continuing poor behaviour after being warned will result in a ban or removal of your comments. Bans typically last only 24 hours, but each subsequent infraction doubles the duration. Depending on the content, the ban time may be increased. You may request an unban at any time.
