I have a cellular Apple Watch but it never works with out the iPhone nearby. Any ideas why? Kind of a waste of $5 LTE subscription each month

What carrier? If it’s t-mobile and they only have 600mhz band LTE in your area it won’t work…. (Apple Watches can’t do 600mhz)

I leave my iPhone at home every weekend and just use my watch, I problems with calls or texts. Check with your carrier.

Had that happen once. Factory reset solved the problem.
