Confusing title, apologies!

Tldr: dad is a Long haul trucker, needs a printer in his truck. Printer seems to require an internet connection to verify itself with HP because Fuck Me, Right? Wifi Direct to the printer Did Not Work, so I set up a router just to see if a wan would work. Now we can see the printer, but it still will not print. I suspect, because HP Fucking Sucks Ass, printer/app require a connection to their shit.

How do I fake this? Truck DOES NOT HAVE THE ABILITY TO HAVE AN ACTUAL INTERNET CONNECTION! Including cell connection, thanks Rural Illinois and Indiana.

Help me, Obi-Wan Kenobi, you're my only hope!

If the app requires an internet connection I'd recommend to stop using it and just use the built in print dialog. The printer shouldn't need constant internet connection, just a Lan connection where it can broadcast on. The printer may have to connect sometimes, for which I'd recommend Ubiquity's mobile router, easy to manage, runs on usbc, but it is a bit pricy.

It's an HP printer. It needs to be connected to the internet to print. What really kills me is that I shouldn't need any more equipment just to print a document, nor should I have to spoof or trick or whatever. I should just be able to print.
