Whoa, I'm sure by 2025 we'll have 8-12PB consumer-friendly priced options for the mid-level PC enthusiasts. Like, your local computer store, boxed and priced reasonably.

Wh-what happened to this dream? I recall a natural disaster affecting HDDs for a period, but am I the only one feeling a little left out of (dare I say, a sense of entitlement) to PB drives where TB drives are in 2026? Gonna tell me tech has stalemated for the consumer when we're now in Quantum Computing era? There have been leaps and hurdles techwise since '07...

I remember around 2017 when I paid $187 for my 2TB nvme drive, and thinking the speed bump was massive and was the way everything was going to get even more cheaper. Crazy to see we've gone back in time
