That's not a good solution for all use cases.
I understand the desire to disconnect the phones GPS from the companions built in GPS, or lack thereof.
But there should be a button to at least grab the phone's GPS and inject it into a message. None of my companions have GPS. And if you're camping with a group, which was my most recent use case, it would be nice.
Doubly so if you're using client repeat mode to mimic meshtastic.
Feature creep is real, and I'm not saying it has to happen immediately. But eventually, yes, I think a properly fully featured app would include this type of thing.
Personally I don't see the harm in adding a static GPS position for my repeater in the advert. Someone motivated enough could technically triangulate where the node is anyway, so I'll just make it easy to use.
