Clicked on it out of curiosity. Sub is still nsfw. Second post I clicked was a veiny boner. Nope.

Well, it was interesting as fuck

Yeah, what the hell? New shows 5 total posts on the sub, Hot shows aircraft mounted machine gun barrel, a deleted gallery, a poll and a side view of a penis.

When I went on there, the newest post was from 1 month ago and the second newest was from 2 months ago.

I'm not sure if it's the same boner...but I just clicked a 27-day old picture of one. They're doing something over there, but it's definitely not deleting all the porn.

Well, some will find that appealing

I just checked now and no porn. Though its almost a day after your post.

The newest posts on the sub are from a month ago.

[–] [email protected] 1 points 1 year ago

I ain't gonna risk it again.

Does this mean that Reddit is now responsible for any illegal content on it?

[–] [email protected] 67 points 1 year ago

Always has been, but now they need to do the grunt work themselves. Bunch of fools shat on their free labor.

In the EU, maybe. In the US, no. Internet companies aren't held liable whether they enforce editorial control or not.

Just like dndmemes, it's not that they removed the nsfw content, they removed everything. There is a hand full of posts left from over a month of content. On dndmemes they bothered to sort out maybe 30 non-nsfw posts from the highest rated posts, here it's more like 5. Seems they are getting even lazier about it.

[–] [email protected] 16 points 1 year ago (1 children)

Looking at dndmemes now I wanna say they even borked various sorting styles to make this harder to see

I just checked and literally every post in the past three days was submitted by just two accounts, with one user accounting for easily 95% of the posts.

Jesus, reddit really is dying.

[–] [email protected] 1 points 1 year ago

That could be because the mods have made a rule that auto mod will remove all new posts until a nod has had a chance to physically review it before allowing it to be visible on the sub since they have lost some of their most active mods and moderation tools. It's another way for the mods to continue the protest and I for one hope they continue to irritate reddit admins as much as they can.

I would say they should just completely abandon ship. But then reddit will just give the sub to some power mod who still like to be dominated by the reddit admins and the sub will get back to full flow.

I clicked on it and it wouldn't even let me read anything without getting the app cause it's nsfw

[–] [email protected] 15 points 1 year ago

Desktop site enabled -> old.reddit

[–] [email protected] 7 points 1 year ago

You need to login if you want to view the sub with a browser.

[–] [email protected] 19 points 1 year ago

It's still marked as nsfw tho.

[–] [email protected] 19 points 1 year ago (4 children)

Is there a official lemmy instance for this?

[–] [email protected] 38 points 1 year ago (1 children)

I mean, what makes something official in your opinion? I could just open one now and it'd be as approved as any other.

[–] [email protected] 14 points 1 year ago (1 children)

According to migration sites like sub.rehab, "official" Communities are those started up by ex-Reddit moderators. If you start up your own, the best you can ask for is "spin-off" status

[–] [email protected] 3 points 1 year ago

Wasn't aware of that site. Thank you.

[–] [email protected] 17 points 1 year ago (1 children)

The pornography or interestingasfuck?

[–] [email protected] 13 points 1 year ago

ngl interestingasfuck pornography sounds interesting

[–] [email protected] 17 points 1 year ago

It doesn't look like there's anything official. Closest community is, I guess, [email protected]

[–] [email protected] 7 points 1 year ago

I don't think it's official, but there's certainly [email protected] here. Aka https://lemmy.world/c/interestingasfuck , I don't know the equivalent of r/. /c/interestingasfuck?

[–] [email protected] 16 points 1 year ago (1 children)

That took longer than I expected it to.

[–] [email protected] 46 points 1 year ago (1 children)

shows the actual capacity reddit has to operate without the help of their experienced moderators who they managed to collectively piss off

[–] [email protected] 28 points 1 year ago (1 children)

Strange, I read for weeks how easily replaced they'd be by the thousands of willing, competent volunteers.

[–] [email protected] 14 points 1 year ago

Obviously it's Lemmy fault for taking all the good mods not their fault no way
