World of Ass? I was playing that a lot the other month, absolutely bananas that it requires an online connection.

There's the Peacock Project though, which lets you host your own server. Ultimately that kind of thing shouldn't be required but it's nice that players have made their own thing. Like what do you mean I need to be online and connected to their services to progress in the campaign and unlock new things in my singleplayer game?

I've seen stuff pulled from the steam store so it's no longer available for purchase/adding to my library, but the ones I already added, even undownloaded, have always still been available in my library, even if the game was fully defunct.

Got any sources for that? Only ever heard of them removing a game from sale, not removing it from someone who has already bought it.

Also GOG can't even do this if they wanted to, they are unable to uninstall a game you have downloaded already.

Some steam games don't have DRM... even Steam's. Steam just hosts the files. I think Stalker(the old games) is onesuch example. The games just launch whether steam is up or not.
