So i found an i phone 13 pro max 256 in a second hand selling website a talked with the owner to buy it he said that he got it as a replacement from the insurance for his old i phone being damaged and not being able to repair it they gave him a replacement that he didnt even open before he juste got it out of its case. What do i look for in this situation to not get scammed I heard people say that once the guy gets my money he will report his phone stolen and get a new phone how to protect myself in this situation? Should i make a selling contract? Thanks Ps:the price is 800$

I think I would avoid this, it sounds dodgy.

If it sounds too good to be true, it almost certainly is!

This is how to do it :

When I bought a (new) phone on FB market place , the seller let me open it , set it up , transfer my data and everything whilst having a coffee . He wanted me to be totally happy

Ask for the same

800 usd? 550 usd is the maximum you should pay and follow the advice of the other posters here.

$800 is way overpriced for a 256GB iPhone 13 Pro Max. More like $600-650 according to average eBay prices for an unlocked 256GB iPhone 13PM in good to very good condition.
