Earlier this week, Iron Gate dropped an official FAQ for the 1.0 release. The Reddit community were quite vocal. I wonder what you folks think. I'll start.

I am slighly disappointed that the ocean biome is kept as is. It feels unfinished to me and ocean voyages can be grindy.

The price hike does not seem unreasonable to me, The media seem to focus on this point, but ~€30 for an indie title is quite a normal price. I currently have ~350 hours in this game and would buy it for full price with hindsight if I did not already have it.

Although in a recent Q&A with the devs they hinted at a 1.1 and even 1.2 version with new content. However, the FAQ seems to be deliberatiely silent about that. I am not sure what to think about that.

I’m pretty happy with the game as is I’m extremely excited for this update. Ocean update would be cool and based on the FAQ question regarding it I’m sure they’ll get to it at some point. As far as the price I would pay $60 for the game as is so the $30 price is still exceptional value. I’ve bought it 3 times anyway. For my PC, my Xbox, and for a friend.

Paying more for a finished game than an unfinished game... makes sense to me. I already own it and have got to have like 1200 hours or something. So it doesn't impact me and I've gotten my money's worth at whatever price.

An ocean update would've been nice but I wouldn't say I'm even disappointed, even though ocean travel can be a bit boring. It seems like an obvious target for a post-release update though.
