Christians do love cherry picking verses to say whatever they want, with 0 context so it fits their personal agenda.
I got kicked out of Sunday school often as a teenager because I kept reading the larger context of whatever verse was on topic that day, and questioning why the lesson is going one way when the Bible verses around it make it clear it's intended another way.
Context matters. And several things modern Day Christianity, especially in the US, hold as word of their God, are straight up incorrect/unintended translations/interpretations.
The Bible verses most people I know would use to prove "being gay is a sin" are either instructions specifically to Jewish priests or (my personal favorite) they are translation errors intentionally introduced in the mid-20th. Of course pointing out any errors like this only solidifies their views about how you're evil, because you're questioning things and that's bad.

For the last 15 years I have wondered just how bad it was going to have to get before 'Vote Blue No Matter Who' wouldn't be good enough, and they did it. Blue MAGA became so blatantly corrupt and/or incompetent that socialists are becoming electable.
