I live in Michigan, and our weather extremes can be rather severe. So for my application, I need an outdoor rated node in a couple locations. TP-Link so far seems to be the only company offering an outdoor rated mesh node. There are range extenders/repeaters, but I’ve only found the one model that is an actual mesh node.

My question then, is, this node is a Deco X50 (WiFi 6). Would this node be able to work on a TP-Link WiFi 7 mesh system, or even a 6e system? Or is there no backward compatibility, so earlier wifi generation nodes cannot be integrated?

Just trying to figure out the best route to take on getting a new mesh system. I desperately need a mesh system for my fault large house.
