My iphone XS max has been dying at 10 percent battery lately and my battery health is normal percentage and it says my battery is supporting normal peak performance

Phones die when they request more power from the battery than it can provide. Go into battery saver mode and reduce your screen brightness.

Also, simply charge your phone. If you want to preserve battery life, always charge when you are under 20%. Letting your phone die is a bad habbit.

Do the 100-0-100 battery recalibration - it fixed my XR when it started shutting down at ~15%.
