Hi everyone, I recently got an iPhone 15 Pro Max. I think this is a good upgrade since I came from the iPhone 12 base model.

However, I seem to have been experiencing problems with the phone's touch sensitivity—especially the keyboard. Sometimes, I have to double-tap some letters before it goes through. Especially “L” and backspace.

Could it be that my unit is a lemon?

Are you using any screen protector ? Had the same problem with my 15 pro, turns out the protector wasn't good... switched to a better/expensive protector and it went back to normal.

Firstly, try doing a soft reset by pressing on the volume up key. Then the volume down key, then holding on to the power button till you see the Apple logo at which time you can let go of the power button. Just wait for the phone to reboot and open any application where you need to type something and just check if you’re facing the same issue again

Are haptics enabled for keyboard? Can you try disabling them?

Do a recovery mode update.
