I wanted to be able to use my keyboard while charging the tablet.

Thank you @confusedwiseman@lemmy.dbzer0.com for the advice on the 90 degree adapter!

Looks great, but one suggestion. Add a 90 degree port adapter. Take the pressure and risk off that port on the tablet.

Sic! That's exactly what I was wondering what to do about! :D

I’m sorry, but I may have to report this post to the admins. You’ve made it too good to stay in dullsters!

Cheap, simple, effective, modular, and damn useful!! I love it.

Ah, how silly of me. It was right there, in 1b.

I'm writing to you via a Bluetooth Keyboard on a Graphene OS Pixel 7... this is the way! I don't understand whay I have to by an expensive microchip for every device. I just need one microchip, and I need one phone, therefore, I will do as much as possible on my phone.

I'm still kicking myself for that Samsung update that didn't let me rollback the firmware; now I can't re-flash it and I'm stuck with their garbage UI.

Nice! I would recommend some 3M dual lock instead of Velcro for a more secure flush mount

Crazy! I had no idea this even existed!

That looks very cool. If i dont procastinate on it again i get it for my (partially complete) setup. (MiniPC+PowerStation+Touchscreen)

Looks good!

Man I miss the days when you could get devices with multiple kinds of ports built in. Seems every device now has fewer and fewer ports. Cost cutting disguised as streamlining.

I agree! But to be fair, it's one of Samsung's cheapest and weakest tablets. Mine is buffed up with some extreme debloating, but for normies, I think not having more than a charging port on this price range is normal.

But! I do wish they made these with multiple ports, since ,evidently, you can use them as a laptop to some extent (browsing and text editing?).

The future of computing

I was baffled plugging my s23 into my work dell dock and hooking my BT mouse/KB to it and running termux. Pretty legit!!!

Then we are siblings in tech! I'm typing this on my S23! 😃

PS: which I NEVER intend to upgrade from within the S lineup, since I heard that the S24 and above contain some kind of hardware built in containing non removable slop AND One UI 8 and above don't allow unlocking the bootloader😩 Do your research though, since I don't have any sources for this at the moment, and the most urgent item on my agenda right now is buying some potato chips 💪

Nice!! Its an OK phone besides the Samsung and google slop. Going to pixel after it dies.

Haha! Yeah , phones take so much time to de shittify and sometimes we have to live life. I'd almost rather just get a second flip phone for 98% of cases and only take my big ohone for trips where I need airline and hotel and ticket apps and shit.

This is nice, but it seems like a laptop with extra steps?

[-] hexagonwin@lemmy.today 3 points 2 days ago

tablets usually have insanely good battery runtime tho

Yeah, except I paid a measly 150 bucks for it NEW, weighs 480 grams with a thickness of 6.9 millimeters. 🤣

AND I can use my mechanical keyboard with it of which I had two so didn't need to buy a new one. 😎
