Going on a MSC cruise soon, we purchased the WIFI + package for two devices (that's as much as we care to spend) but we have multiple devices that we would like to use. Note: MSC Cruises do not allow switching devices once that device is linked to the ships Wi-Fi, that is why I purchased a travel router to try and clone one of the two iPhone MAC address. I'm reading bits and pieces but I'm not having much luck setting this thing up.

  • I have the GL.iNET sft1200-81d travel router.
  • I have connected to the router and changed the WIFI name and password to my unique name and password.
  • I then go to the iPhone that will be used to connect to the ships Wi-Fi and logged into the travel router to access the settings.
  • Next, I went to More Settings and went to MAC Clone.
  • I chose the iPhone's Mac address to clone and hit apply.
  • on the phone I log out of the travel router and log into my home Wi-Fi
  • I then pick up a new device ( iPad ) and connect to the travel routers Wi-Fi.
  • It shows "No Internet Connection".

that's where I'm stuck.

I'm not the greatest at this, I would love a little help from someone who is setting this travel router up for the same purpose or in a similar manner.

Thanks in advance

Why didn’t you just give the cruise ship your Mac from the travel router?
