Apple TV remote not controlling volume (alien.top)

I’ve tried every single “fix” I can find on the internet and nothing is working. I’ve reset the remote, I’ve turned it off and on, turned the CEC off and on, and nothing has worked. Anyone else?

Try this. Disable HDMI-CEC on all devices, Apple TV, TV, receiver, soundbar, all the devices that use it. Turn everything off and unplug them from power and wait 5 minutes. Now plug everything back in and re-enable HDMI-CEC on all devices and try again.

This is Apple TVs biggest flaw by far. Full dependance on HDMI-CEC which is a finicky piece of tech since its inception. There is no fix. it will works sometimes and wont work other times.

This is driving me nuts too. Nothing is working. The control via IR option is no longer showing on my Apple TV post the TV OS 17 update. Why fix something that wasn’t broken?!
