Apple TV remote not controlling volume (alien.top)

I’ve tried every single “fix” I can find on the internet and nothing is working. I’ve reset the remote, I’ve turned it off and on, turned the CEC off and on, and nothing has worked. Anyone else?

This is Apple TVs biggest flaw by far. Full dependance on HDMI-CEC which is a finicky piece of tech since its inception. There is no fix. it will works sometimes and wont work other times.
