Hey all 👋

I bought an Anker braided USB A to lightning cable a few weeks ago because my official Apple cables kept fraying.

Anker was the brand recommended to me however, the lightning end seems to be loose. If I nudge my iPhone the connection drops (very annoying as I use it in my car for GPS and once knocked, CarPlay switches off).

Is there an alternative brand I should go for instead? (I thought Anker was the go to brand)

Cheers!

I’d reach out to Anker, their stuff is usually top notch

If they bought it on Amazon, there’s a good chance it’s counterfeit.

Ikea makes a decent cable.

Honestly, reach out to Anker. When I had issues like this with an usb-c cable years ago they immediately sent me a replacement and did not even want the other one back.

Ah no, I just checked a pair of wired EarPods and when I nudged them slightly the music on my iPhone paused. Looks like it might be the port on the iPhone itself……
