How to Disable Photos in Standby Mode and Customize Widgets (alien.top)

I quite liked standby mode when it was introduced, until some bonehead had the idea to remove all the useful default widgets and replace them with a photo slideshow that i have no option to turn off. Is there a way to get rid of the photos and replace them with the widgets that originally came out when ios 17 was first introduced?
