Not surprising, there’s zero room in the prisons at the minute. Stuff like this will never end up with you behind bars.

he’s a massive cunt but that sentence is ridiculous.

literally can get the same sentence for burglary.

Honestly shocked more people aren’t saying this. Totally being over punished.

I don't understand how being an asshole can be a crime. He will have enough social consequences. Feels like an overstep of justice.

Suspended from what? Why does England have weird laws like this. Like it’s not right but Jesus Christ it’s just words that don’t affect 99.9% past a base level.

Having shit craic shouldn’t result in being charged as a criminal. It’s a slippery slope, and shows you can be arrested and charged for pretty much anything.

Should make him do his unpaid work in a children's cancer ward

No part of his sentence

Don’t agree with getting a prison sentence for something like this. But the thick cunt should just try to not be an absolute pillock and none of this would’ve happened to him.

Disgusting behaviour.

He’s not in prison

While what the dude did is terrible. And the football team banning him from their stadium fair. I really can't get behind it being illegal. This may be my American sensibilities but he should not face criminal charges for speaking. The team can ban him sure but jail? Seriously?

[–] [email protected] 1 points 1 year ago

He’s not in jail. It’s a suspended sentence.

Criminalising speech is such a regrettable thing that it should only be done in the most extreme circumstances. This does not meet the threshold for me.

Glad Wednesday have dished out a considerable ban though.

Heard and seen way worse in COD lobbies back in the day.

[–] [email protected] 1 points 1 year ago (3 children)

Except he wasn’t in CDD lobbies, he was on the terraces next to the away fans laughing with a picture of a dead child who was well known for supporting Sunderland.

It's disgraceful that he's been rewarded with a stadium ban. Surely being forced to watch Wednesday every week would be a severe deterrent.

tbh I forgot that mascots in soccer are the little kids that walk out with the players, I thought some guy was making fun of a grown man in a glorified furry suit

[–] [email protected] 1 points 1 year ago

Should have given the cunt a swift kick to the face and made sure his community service is spent on children's cancer wards. The cunt.

"alcohol contributed to the offence, which was “out of character”."
