Fantastically moody photo of the hills! Also nice work getting the bot up and running

I hadn't heard of the Pianodrome before but that's such a cool project! I'll have to check out what's on there

aye, pretty good fer a camera phone. Not sure the webp compression did it much good however. But: I did just get a Nikon Z fc. So I've been working on my composition on the phone to get started, before lugging it to work and up hills. Think I'll take my new camera down to the canal tomorrow, see if I can get a shot of the ducklings

And yeah, the old kirk had sat vacant for years. It was a bugger to get watertight again too apparently. But: lots of nice things in it now, and if you don't use it: we will lose it

I've got some train tickets to and from Perth that I bought as a flexipass and didn't use all of; anyone got any recommendations for things to do over there? I'm going to swing by the museum with the Stone of Destiny but haven't given the rest of the time much thought yet

Favourite spots in the evening: I'm not sure, actually. I grew up in a town next to a fairly big loch and it was wonderful on a sunny evening with the very specific requirement that it had to be windy enough to keep the midgies off. The low light playing on gentle waves is always a pleasant atmosphere if you can get it, though

Black Watch museum would be good I bet, plenty of tours. Kinnoull hill looks a pretty walk too. And I saw the stone in Edinburgh castle already: and I can confirm it is a stone

I can confirm that Kinnoull Hill is a nice walk. The view from the folly is great, although it's a bit of a shame that the traffic sounds on the road below are so loud. I've done the bLack Watch (took my grandmother there back when that wave of poppies artwork was on display). I'm perhaps more interested in the history around the stone than the stone itself in the museum. I agree, it's not exactly an artistic masterpiece haha. I haven't seen wikivoyage before, thank you for the link

Some fantastic weather here this week so been home from work as quickly as I could to enjoy it! Neglected swimming and pilates this week because of other commitments. One being a night with an author I enjoy, hearing about the new book! Looking forward to reading it!! Sports day and commonwealth games afternoon today so absolutely knackered!! Out tomorrow at the science centre for the Led Zepplin fulldome experience in the planetarium! Have a lovely weekend!!

ooh, the fulldome experience. I'm tempted to go through to the science center for the Metallica pop-up as I'm off to see them next month. I fancy a nice poster. And it has been excellent, shame this weekend is looking a damp squib. I've got mates off to FyneFest and it looks a total washout
