What are you looking for in an app that the FreshRSS mobile website doesn't offer?
With your mobile browser, you can 'install' the site as an app and then I use gestures to launch the app.

this app is much smoother than using the browser. also the phone struggles to run a modern web browser..
no point cryin over an android 6 lookin ancient rss app when you have feeder https://f-droid.org/packages/com.nononsenseapps.feeder/
feeder is a standalone app, doesn't connect to freshrss. (means i need it in the background and periodically sync..)
also much heavier
not sure wdym 'cryin over', it just werks
If you look at the network on that repo, there are some newer forks: https://github.com/Alkarex/EasyRSS/network
With the clankers these days, if you wanted to do your own build, that is completely within reach
If you can't find a fork of it you like for mobile, then I'll suggest Capy Reader.
I've been using it for a year or so and it's been great. Works fine with my FreshRSS install.
