Hi all, I have gigabit up and down, as well as a backup ISP. I have them both hooked up to an edge router x and I use load balancing to have the backup come in if my main goes down.

I'm considering upgrading to 2.5gbps on my main, however I would need something better than the edge router to just handle the 2.5gbps itself. I also get some degradation on voip apps when I'm close to saturating my gigabit connection through the edge router, so any alternatives that ya'll can recommend would be appreciated. Thanks!

TP-Link has the ER707-M2 router.

It has 2 x 2.5Gb ports, and 4 x 1Gb ports.

You can put your primary ISP on one of the 2.5Gb ports, the backup ISP on one of the 1Gb ports, and then use the other 2.5Gb port as an uplink to your primary network switch.
