Hi here!

The appartement I'm staying has built-in Cat7 RJ45 cables going in a wall socket and splitting them into two ports, 4 cable each. Each port is outputting 100Mbps instead of 1Gbps.

Is it possible to rewire the 8 cables into 1 port to obtain 1Gbps ? If yes, how?

Thank you!

You have a lot going wrong here. To start, if that’s cat7 cable your trying to terminate in a cat5e jack it won’t work well.

Go on the interweb and lookup what a correctly terminated cable should look like cause that’s not even close.

Yes. 8 wires = 1GbE to 10GbE.

Tried these two combination of 8 cable, still geetting 100Mbps instead of 1Gbps (tested with two 1GBps rj45 cables to network card)
