So basically I purchased an hp proliant and skechily connected it to my Internet and port forwarded it. Here is the thing that confuses me It works for my friend in Texas (I'm in Wisconsin) but it won't work for my bf in the UK. I've double checked all of my work and have no idea what Is stopping the connection. I had him ping my IP and none of the pings went through. This might be a stupid question but idk the answer to it so any help would be helpful

It is possible that the UK ISP is blocking the port that you have forwarded, for some reason.

As for ping, have you allowed ping on your router, some do not answer ping on their WAN port, by default.

Are your router firewall rules configured to block/accept traffic from certain countries.
