I am very much against (paid/microtransaction) lootboxes, but the argument about TCGs amd boosters is a very solid one.

But, as someone who enjoys TCGs but hates the "you have to spend gazzilion to compete", they should absolutely include TCG boosters into the rulling and ban that too. There are rare few card games where you just buy premade sets/collections, and it works just as well for people who care about playing, without building a gambling market for scalpers to speculate on. Fuck that.

So, the arguments they make are true, but instead of dismissal, it should just make sure to also affect these predatory industries.

Once I understood that I lost all interest in MTG. I was getting sick of having to buy boosters, rack up loads of useless cards and still lose to ppl. or friends who could afford to buy specific cards from the online stores and places.

I’ve always found it funny how in most US States, games like Pokemon and Magic are legal… games in which you gamble for cards to then enter paid tournaments for cash prizes, but poker is illegal.
