Good. “Some controversy” without anything specific in this case means that liberals are targeting them for being a communist but don’t want to say so.

I like that Madeline actually tries to learn about DPRK by reading DPRK's actual media agencies and the theory written by the Kims. Whereas many other people form a view of DPRK through memes and unsourced tweets.
Also she was a participant in the Neustra America aid convoy to Cuba.
the tiktok style of communication puts me off but i'm not really the target audience i guess
I’m off of TikTok but I don’t think I ever saw anything I disagreed with them strongly about. My biggest complaints were their video lengths (it’s TikTok I’m not here to watch a 10 minute lecture) and that tbey were noticeably too online and let things get to them but I can’t really blame them for that. I’ve never seen actual criticism of them that wasn’t libshit. I think there were some receipts about some liberal tiktokers getting paid to slander her? Or she pointed out that they were getting paid I don’t remember the specifics
I haven't seen much of their content but what I have seen is pretty good, specially since they are very adamant in being pro DPRK. What exactly is the controversy here?
What's the controversy?
Has correct opinions about socialism and imperialism and gets shit for it from butthurt westerners. I've seen multiple rounds of "controversy" around them so far that all turned out to be complete bullshit, until I see evidence to the contrary I will be correctly assuming this is also bullshit.
apparently they defended Casey Anthony or something or as i’ve heard
they're a pretty typical white leftist tbh, and that comes with all the dressings n fixings.
They at least recognize it and often link to poc leftists on TikTok because they know where they're weak
I don't care for her presentation style. Very off-putting, and I imagine even more so for people who aren't already commies inclined to agree with the content of what she says.
What did she do now?
What she says is true and good, but, like you said her presentation could put others off. Myself personally, I also dislike her presentation, but do keep hoping she fights the good fight.
Idk I feel like their presentation is pretty typical for a political tiktoker
I know nothing about the controversy, but I wish Madeline had pronouns listed somewhere easy to find because it sounds like there were pronouns somewhere at one point but I don’t watch the videos so it is hard to tell whether the acceptable pronouns have changed? Lots of people here are using what it sounds like were once listed while others aren’t (or are switching it up).
they were roundly criticized for telling a white cis woman their pronouns, so it might be linked to that. there was a whole thing about how it represented white enbies wanting the clout of black trans women. there wasn't a whole thing about cis people demanding they know your personal connection to anything to prove you really care about it
I like their content overall, but I don’t give a shit about online drama and will scroll as soon as it comes up.
