A non-punishment when the promoted teams are so bad. Everton will still stay up. This just sends the message that teams can do what they want and get away with it.

If they were actually serious, then this would have happened last season. Everton being relegated as a result of breaking the rules would have sent a much clearer message to every other club.

So..errr..city?

[–] [email protected] 1 points 1 year ago

Sean Dyche voice gets deeper

[–] [email protected] 1 points 1 year ago

Meanwhile the club with over 100 breaches of PL rules couldn’t give two fucks about it 🤔

[–] [email protected] 1 points 1 year ago

Honestly if you support city after something like this where their crimes far outweigh anything here, you’re a loser.

[–] [email protected] 1 points 1 year ago

People are screaming bloody murder about City and Chelsea but i think this punishment, is really bad news for both. Im much more confident now, that they will face deductions

Spurs, Arsenal and Liverpool might very well be fighting for the title as we speak.

[–] [email protected] 1 points 1 year ago

Do Man City now

[–] [email protected] 1 points 1 year ago

Hope City get docked 75 points just for the experiment to see if they stay up. This season probably likely.

Stripping of a title is basically meaningless, no one cares IMO. It still happened and the fans had their moment, that wouldn’t change that. It would still be ‘their title’ regardless of how you spun it.

Man City when?

[–] [email protected] 1 points 1 year ago

First Reading, now Everton. Kia Joorabchian strikes again.

[–] [email protected] 1 points 1 year ago

If man City and Chelsea get nothing throw this league in the fucking bin.

[–] [email protected] 1 points 1 year ago

I would NOT want to play Everton at Goodison Park now

[–] [email protected] 1 points 1 year ago

Holy! The EPL is a joke

[–] [email protected] 1 points 1 year ago

'Can't punish the fans'

6 teams tried to destroy English football.

[–] [email protected] 1 points 1 year ago

Between this and VAR, football is losing (lost?) credibility.

[–] [email protected] 1 points 1 year ago

If this is the standard they're going to set for minimal financial mismanagement I expect, as should everyone else who follows the league, that a club like City will be expelled from the Premier League. If they are found guilty on even a fraction of their 115 charges the PL cannot hold back simply because of the revenue the club's corrupt tyrant owner brings to the league. If City is ignored, I'm not sure how the PL and FA have any ounce of integrity or trust left, and how anyone watching the league thinks the outcome of any proceeding season is meaningful.

I’m not an Everton fan but I really can’t believe how biased this league is on punishment. City and Chelsea would never be punished like this. The sport really is gone huh

[–] [email protected] 1 points 1 year ago

How’ve they been given more than we got 😭😭

[–] [email protected] 1 points 1 year ago

This sets them up perfect to give City a 100k fine

[–] [email protected] 1 points 1 year ago

Great now do City next cowards

[–] [email protected] 1 points 1 year ago

If they do end up going down, yikes. It’s easy and fine to meme on them as rivals, but they would be terrible for the city of Liverpool.

[–] [email protected] 1 points 1 year ago

They haven't even gone into last place with the deduction, so I think they should be fine

[–] [email protected] 1 points 1 year ago

Game's gone if little Everton are punished while big Emarati Man Citeh still wins titles despite being massive fucking cheating scumbags.

[–] [email protected] 1 points 1 year ago

Very lucky for Everton that the bottom of the league is absolutely woeful this year. They'll probably still survive relegation.

[–] [email protected] 1 points 1 year ago

Thankfully Everton actually look decent this season and the rest of the bottom 4 are absolute dross so they should still stay up

[–] [email protected] 1 points 1 year ago

And City will walk away with zero consequences because you've even got the foreign office discussing City's charges with the UAE.

Corrupt, disgusting club.

[–] [email protected] 1 points 1 year ago

City should get 15000 point deduction. Chelsea 10000

[–] [email protected] 1 points 1 year ago

So saying refs are shit is 'bringing the game into disrepute', but handing a club a points reduction while leaving another club alone for the same rule breaches doesn't bring the game into disrepute?

[–] [email protected] 1 points 1 year ago

They can count themselves lucky they got charged this season and not last season. Not sure what all the sympathy for them is about. They cheated and got punished.

City likely haven't been punished yet because a case with over 100 charges is going to a lot more complicated, and I can imagine City's team of lawyers are making it easy either.

[–] [email protected] 1 points 1 year ago

Cool now strip city and chelsea of all their filthy "trophies"

[–] [email protected] 1 points 1 year ago

ok, so how about man city and their 115 charges?

[–] [email protected] 1 points 1 year ago

Will city receive a 1150 point deduction?

Straight to the national league

[–] [email protected] 1 points 1 year ago

A certain club has 115 charges I’m guessing the get chucked in the national league or?

[–] [email protected] 1 points 1 year ago

Am gutted for them seems crazy harsh unless City get nuked (fingers crossed)

[–] [email protected] 1 points 1 year ago

The premier League is gone BTW, 6 clubs tried to force a hostile takeover of the entire English football system and got fines.

[–] [email protected] 1 points 1 year ago
[–] [email protected] 1 points 1 year ago

The Premier League has just opened the biggest can of worms I’ve ever seen.

Should make it familiar for Sean Dyche.

[–] [email protected] 1 points 1 year ago

This is setting up City to get demoted, isn't it?

[–] [email protected] 1 points 1 year ago

joke league

[–] [email protected] 1 points 1 year ago (2 children)

This obsession people have with pretending Man City are getting away unnoticed with breaking financial rules really need to go outside more. Just because Everton have been dealt with first doesn't mean City have been forgotten about or the charges against them aren't real. It was explained at the time they were announced that their charges could take years to be settled, but a few months later people piss their pants about them not being punished yet.

Everton have left a trail of breadcrumbs to their massive financial mismanagement over the last few years and they've been punished for it after a literal years ong investigation. Why the fuck is it so hard for people to talk about this instead of just rolling around on the floor screaming about Man City?

No way in hell city actually loses points. Those lawyers are going to be heading into overdrive

[–] [email protected] 1 points 1 year ago

Everton will get out of the relegation zone. They're playing significantly better than the true bottom 3 and feel like they've finally turned the corner as a team.

[–] [email protected] 1 points 1 year ago

If this had happened during the last few seasons, Everton would be a Championship club right now. Thankfully for them and despite the points deduction, there are far worse teams heading for the drop.

[–] [email protected] 1 points 1 year ago

So what I'm taking from this is Man city are going to be given those 10 points now and every club outside the top 6 will have to write a nice letter to them apologising for the inconvenience? I mean 115 charges against them can't all be wrong by law of averages there must be at the very least one charge that correct in there

[–] [email protected] 1 points 1 year ago

If the rules applied to everyone, City would be relegated to League 2 in 1984

[–] [email protected] 1 points 1 year ago

Hey Premier League..... Do Man City and Chelsea you cowards

[–] [email protected] 1 points 1 year ago

Any other season and I'd be absolutely certain that this points deduction would send Everton down but this season's promoted teams are some of the worst in recent memories and it's going to take an absolute miracle for anybody other than them to make the drop.
