I haven't seen anything in the news, but a large subset of anime fans won't be pleased unless their anime is free and released with a quality English translation on day 1 and they never make any mistakes so ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

The fact that in reality they seem intent on slowly enshittifying their services does not help.
