Two Victorian climbers and their rescuers have been winched to safety after spending the night stranded on a cliff in the Warrumbungle National Park, near Coonabarabran, in central-western New South Wales.

A delicate operation was launched after a 61-year-old climber suffered head injuries from a falling rock.
