CNN anchor John Berman said Tuesday as the news broke. “We think that’s what the administration announced just moments ago.”

No one is entirely sure exactly what the Dementia in Chief is ever saying.

Macron added, “We are not going to take part in any forceful operation within a framework that does not seem clear to me.”

Others have said Trump risks “humiliation in full view of the world.”

That implies that he hasn't already been an embarrassment multiple times prior to this.

Why would he fuck with his embarrassment streak? Not like he has the cognitive capacity to understand what's happening.

[-] BarneyPiccolo@lemmy.cafe 15 points 2 weeks ago* (last edited 2 weeks ago)

He's aced three cognitive tests, and he can tell the difference between a lion, bear, alligator, and...he thinks it was a squirrel, so that proves he's the smartest president ever.

[-] BarneyPiccolo@lemmy.cafe 4 points 2 weeks ago

He's moving from being an embarrassment to being downright dangerous.

He's been dangerous to us for a long time, but now he is damaging every other country on the planet. Can't one of those foreign intelligence agencies deploy an operative to "handle" this situation decisively? Please?

[-] Schnabeltierplaisir@feddit.org 9 points 2 weeks ago

Oh sure. No one outside of the USA elected him into office twice, but yeah, lets risk our people for your gleefully continued fuck ups. Put on your big boy pants and take out your own trash.

[-] BarneyPiccolo@lemmy.cafe 5 points 2 weeks ago* (last edited 2 weeks ago)

Dude, I'm not asking you to save US from him, I'm asking you to save YOU from him. He's now inflicting damage on YOUR country, too. I'm sure of that, and I don't even know where you live, but wherever it is, he's hurting you somehow.

A foreign agency has already been handling your leader—that's kind of the problem.

They can't? Russian foreign intelligence put him in power in the first place and this generously assumes that billionaires don't control these intelligence agencies

you USians should fix your own mistakes instead of asking for external help

92-word sentence. I counted 92 words.

This is a man who just starts talking/writing, and doesn't really think about what he's going to say, but just rolls with it.

It's like pressing the next word suggestion on your phone keyboard and talking like that.

[-] blattrules@lemmy.world 38 points 2 weeks ago

He doesn’t even have a plan to end the current sentence he’s working on and people wanted to trust him with military plans.

[-] meejle@piefed.world 18 points 2 weeks ago

He has concepts of a plan

That's a good analogy at the end there.

I’m sure I’m not the only one but I hate to listen to audio of him. His voice grates on my nerves, his thought patterns make feel like I’m getting dumber by the day every time I hear him speak, and it’s cringe worthy that a certain percentage of the population feel like he is an intelligent person.

[-] HubertManne@piefed.social 14 points 2 weeks ago

my wife continually complains that him speaking or even seeing his face makes her want to bark at the screen. Like a dog where every fiber of its being is saying bad person.

[-] demonsword@lemmy.world 8 points 2 weeks ago

I can relate. We had our own trump-wannabe running things in Brazil for 4 years. I couldn't stand hearing his voice (or of any of his shitty sons), it made my blood boil.

Remember that republican could stop him at any time. This isn't about Trump anymore - he isn't running for re-election so disapproval has no direct effect. The only way we have in our legal framework to stop an insane authoritarian in the white house is for Congress to stop him. Their abdication of duty need to be laid at the feet of every R in office

[-] billwashere@lemmy.world 8 points 2 weeks ago

I completely agree except for the disapproval rating. I haven’t done the math but I’d suspect that a sitting president’s disapproval rating affect tickets down the ballot. Although that may just be wishful thinking.

Trump realised he doesn't actually like freedom, at least not for others

Why does he keep signing his own tweets? We know it's him. His name is on the top.

Pretty sure they got two civilian ships out. Two.

[-] Tja@programming.dev 8 points 2 weeks ago

And got one ship damaged, or did that turn out to be false?

[-] Ilovethebomb@sh.itjust.works 6 points 2 weeks ago

It's very hard to tell who's bullshitting and who isn't, but reportedly one ship damaged, who the US claim wasn't part of the convoy.

[-] phutatorius@lemmy.zip 8 points 2 weeks ago

It got removed from the convoy because it was damaged, most likely.

[-] qprimed@lemmy.ml 5 points 2 weeks ago

the policy fell off.

Ah, like the way Tesla's Autopilot avoids being on during accidents by cutting out just before impact?

I take solace in the fact that this man never knows peace and never knows happiness. Everything he has is never enough, and every moment is spent trying to protect strength he does not possess.
