I started using Zed as my daily IDE and I really like the direction they're taking it. I know a lot of developers (especially here on Lemmy) have a dogmatic hatred for AI in code, and I get not wanting to be associated with vibe coding tech bros. But there is also a lot that AI can be really helpful for these days.

One of the reasons I switched away from Sublime Text was seeing my colleagues auto generate tests from a single prompt in their IDE while I was stuck copy+pasting code around. I'm glad Zed has that same lightweight approach while also supporting modern tooling.
