Flounder is dedicated to free software and as part of that we want to encourage free software and open systems and standards everywhere. There hasn't been a huge need for a Lemmy community for Flounder but it should be occasionally useful and promoting Lemmy to group members is worthwhile.

Some of the Matrix discussions are quite long and could usefully be Lemmy posts. We have a Mastodon account for things that are more noteworthy than the average Matrix discussion, having Lemmy too for longer things should be useful.

If people who haven't heard of Flounder before learn of it through Lemmy and join then that's good too.
