Night Stand Mode Review for iPhone SE (alien.top)

I tried out Stand By Mode on my iPhone SE3 the past few nights. My biggest complaint is the only way to get nightstand mode to show up if you want to glance at it is you have to actually press a button on the phone. I know with the newer phones you can just lightly tap the screen, or your nightstand and the screen will show.

Does anyone have a review with using Night Stand Mode with an iPhone SE3?

If that's the case (I don't have iOS 17 yet to test it out), then it seems functionally useless.

I’m using an SE and it goes on when I glance (I guess is using the camera)

This is the main feature that is tempting me to leave the SE. Not a fan of using wireless charging frequently given how inefficient it is, but the always-on OLED display of the Pro makes this a really intriguing prospect.

But yeah, seems pretty useless with an SE and definitely less appealing with regular iPhone.
