I would bet the farm that there is some executive who keeps saying “look at all the potential profit. We gotta keep making these!” He could have been sacked years ago but here we are.

The rare idea that would've been better as AI slop. Whatever exec green lighted this could've realized "Oh wait this doesn't actually improve anyrhing". Live action remakes are low effort no creavity IRL slop.

Although I do adore Kathryn Hahn.
