The ARM CPU cores being current while the GPU lags behind is the classic Tensor tradeoff. Google always seems to cut corners on the graphics side, and it shows in sustained gaming performance where the Tensor chips consistently throttle. At least the machine learning tasks stay competitive. Anyone notice how Tensor has been using older GPU architectures for three generations now?
