I have blocked "https://piefed.social/u/rss@news.abolish.capital", because I don't like seeing their posts. I don't need to see what a bot posts about politics, and that is an admitted bot account.

But I still get their posts in my feed.

I don't need AI slop in my feed.

Is there a way to actually block/hide a user?

I had to block 196 twice. Apparently it's mirrored on another instance, or something? I don't know, but blocking it again fixed it.

Are you using an app or the web UI?

I know on the app "Voyager" Piefed blocks don't filter out blocked accounts. Not sure if that's an app or API issue.
