[-] Taleya@aussie.zone 87 points 3 weeks ago

Whoever pulled this off with no anals is a goddamn genius

[-] Karjalan@lemmy.world 23 points 3 weeks ago

I was going to say, this became a challenging adult word find

[-] 13igTyme@piefed.social 137 points 3 weeks ago

It's actually really impressive none of it spells anal.

[-] SnotFlickerman@lemmy.blahaj.zone 47 points 3 weeks ago

I was genuinely disappointed.

[-] call_me_xale@lemmy.zip 45 points 3 weeks ago

I imagine they were verrrrry careful about that lol

[-] toynbee@piefed.social 16 points 3 weeks ago

It does if you can read around corners!

[-] TheOakTree@lemmy.zip 27 points 3 weeks ago

People are impressed that there are no ANALs, but considering that all ALANs are around the border, the only conscious decisions past that point were the four letters in the center.

It's not really that impressive.

[-] tjoa@feddit.org 14 points 3 weeks ago

So where’s page 61? Don’t leave us hanging bro

[-] toynbee@piefed.social 22 points 3 weeks ago* (last edited 3 weeks ago)

My guess is somewhere between pages 60 and 62.

[-] fleurc@lemmy.blahaj.zone 2 points 3 weeks ago

3 times. Alan appears 3 times.

I saw it on the left, top and reversed on the right side. Where is the fourth?

[-] AngryCommieKender@lemmy.world 5 points 3 weeks ago* (last edited 3 weeks ago)

You missed the reversed bottom. Top, left, right, bottom. Top and left are forwards, bottom and right are backwards.

Also all Alan's are Nala's backwards

[-] yetAnotherUser@discuss.tchncs.de 2 points 3 weeks ago

Check out the two Ns in the corner. Those are the only possibly valid ALANs. It works out in the vertical and horizontal for both Ns.

[-] fleurc@lemmy.blahaj.zone 0 points 3 weeks ago

Yeah, I mentioned them. Top and left those are a straight line. First line top says Alan, left down says Alan, and in reverse right down to up.

It says straight line, so yeah. Technically, for kids, 2. But if you wanna be fucky woth the rules then 3.

[-] OrgunDonor@lemmy.world 2 points 3 weeks ago* (last edited 3 weeks ago)

No, still 4. Top and left are forward, and then right and bottom backwards. The 4 letters in the middle are junk

[-] fleurc@lemmy.blahaj.zone 2 points 3 weeks ago

OHHHH Didn't see that.

[-] MBM@lemmings.world 1 points 3 weeks ago

if you wanna be fucky woth the rules

The rules are listed on the page ;)

Moderator Guidelines

Moderator Guidelines

  • Don’t be mean to users. Be gentle or neutral.
  • Most moderator actions which have a modlog message should include your username.
  • When in doubt about whether or not a user is problematic, send them a DM.
  • Don’t waste time debating/arguing with problematic users.
  • Assume the best, but don’t tolerate sealioning/just asking questions/concern trolling.
  • Ask another mod to take over cases you struggle with, if you get tired, or when things get personal.
  • Ask the other mods for advice when things get complicated.
  • Share everything you do in the mod matrix, both so several mods aren't unknowingly handling the same issues, but also so you can receive feedback on what you intend to do.
  • Don't rush mod actions. If a case doesn't need to be handled right away, consider taking a short break before getting to it. This is to say, cool down and make room for feedback.
  • Don’t perform too much moderation in the comments, except if you want a verdict to be public or to ask people to dial a convo down/stop. Single comment warnings are okay.
  • Send users concise DMs about verdicts about them, such as bans etc, except in cases where it is clear we don’t want them at all, such as obvious transphobes. No need to notify someone they haven’t been banned of course.
  • Explain to a user why their behavior is problematic and how it is distressing others rather than engage with whatever they are saying. Ask them to avoid this in the future and send them packing if they do not comply.
  • First warn users, then temp ban them, then finally perma ban them when they break the rules or act inappropriately. Skip steps if necessary.
  • Use neutral statements like “this statement can be considered transphobic” rather than “you are being transphobic”.
  • No large decisions or actions without community input (polls or meta posts f.ex.).
  • Large internal decisions (such as ousting a mod) might require a vote, needing more than 50% of the votes to pass. Also consider asking the community for feedback.
  • Remember you are a voluntary moderator. You don’t get paid. Take a break when you need one. Perhaps ask another moderator to step in if necessary.
