They had 10 years to get him a goalie.

He even took a pay cut of probably $8 or $9 million per year.

So they go out and pick up 2 goalies

One of which was recently in the players assistance program... twice

The other was recently put on waivers by Pittsburgh.

This is the plan that Edmonton had...

Get a twice alcohol dependant goalie and another who was put on waivers

Imagine if they had traded nurse combined with the pay cut

They could have had any vezina goalie they wanted.

well he just has to decide what's worth more to him personally to put on the cup: himself or the Oilers. I don't know anyone who begrudges Borque going to the Colorado to put his name on it (though I don't live in Boston).
