They break, always. Every single one will stop working sooner or later.

Lol keep repeating the bullshit i still have two from 2015 that still work fine its just people that eat over their keyboard who manage to break these

Unreliable af and almost no key travel makes it feel weird to type on.

I think it's ok for some if you 'two finger type'. My wife for example loved my butterfly keyboard because it felt soft and premium to her. I personally don't type a lot at all, but I taught myself proper touch typing at some point a long time ago, and found it to be a disaster. Even after many years of using it, I still made so many mistakes all the time. Since I'm back to a 'regular' keyboard (mpb 14) I type so much more comfortable and fast without having to use backspace every 3 words.

The only problem I’ve had with them has been the shoddy reliability, and I’m definitely not a ‘two-finger type’ (used to work as an audio typist).

Learned touch typing on a manual typewriter and still have a heavy touch. Butterfly keyboard (MBP 2016) randomly dropping or duplicating keystrokes a real problem. Dealt with it with a real keyboard. Finally upgraded this year and find even though the keyboard is still there I’ll absently type on the MBP, especially when editing something. So much better than the 2016.

I actually loved them as long as they worked, but the point is they didn’t for long.

For me the biggest issue was its key travel. They were just way too shallow even for a simple membrane keyboard.
