This sounds more like your wireless router sucks. If it’s a combo modem/gateway from spectrum look into buying a separate modem and mesh network. Unless that messes with your sweetheart payment. Otherwise, you would probably be able to just put a mesh network onto current gateway with Ethernet and disable WiFi on old equipment. Maybe. Lots of possibilities to explore.

If you have old router 3yrs+ it is probably what causes trouble, try to connect any device via cable that is connecting router to internet, idk if you have dynamic ip or you will need set ip from provider (it should be in contract), mesh system is good, but for big houses, if you have small apartment like 1000 square ft only one Wi-Fi router should be ideal. Idk what router you have, if is it old try replace it

What's the service? Like the upload and download? But yeah you could probably get a better router if your Wi-Fi is that unstable and just replace your current router as long as your router is not built into the modem but if your router combos with the modem you can put your Gateway into bridge mode.
