I currently have a 7-year-old Google Wifi router, I think it is Wifi 5, and it is getting old considering I have so many Wifi 6 devices and I could get 1 Gigabit internet with a newer router. My apartment is not that big (2 rooms), so I am planning on buying just 1 router instead of a 2-pack or 3-pack. However, I need fast internet for 4K streaming, online gaming, and large file transfers.

After extensive research, my options are:

  1. TP-Link Deco X95
  2. TP-Link Deco XE75 Pro

They both have 3 ethernet ports, which is the number I need. They also seem good for future-proofing if I get even faster internet someday. Also, they look good; I'm trying to avoid the "dead spider aesthetic". So, any comments on the two options (or further suggestions)?

For those kind of prices and your description of your apartment, check out the Ubiquiti UniFi Dream Router. You'd get plenty of control options and a well-performing router and AP. (they go in and out of stock, keep an eye on the store - 2 year warranty direct through UI)

I installed 3 XE75's recently in a mesh - they're fine - did the job no problem. 4k streaming yep no problem

forget tp link, get something that will actually work properly, allow for real configuration for similar money
