This is a community to share food pics, food ideas and questions. Basically anything to do with food. Every day there will be a post called Tucker Time for you to share pics or descriptions of your evening meal.

The average Australian eats far too much salt – almost double the recommended daily maximum of 5 grams, equivalent to a teaspoon.


Useful context: "salt" (used above) =/= "sodium" (the thing you normally see on the nutrition label in Australia).

5 grams of salt is equivalent to 2000 mg of sodium, since sodium chloride is 40% sodium and 60% chlorine by weight.
