If you’re a liberal you oppose the idea of children being killed and starved in the abstract, because thinking of yourself as a moral person allows you to feel nice feelings about yourself, but you have no interest in taking a well-defined stand against the empire which routinely kills and starves children via genocides, wars of aggression, and siege warfare.
You don’t want families living in poverty because it would make you feel like a bad person if you did, but you also don’t take a concrete stand against the capitalist system whose very existence depends on the perpetual creation of poverty and scarcity.
You kinda-sorta want everyone to have happy and plentiful lives free from fear and tyranny, but you don’t want to consider the possibility that your own country is responsible for abusing, terrorizing and exploiting the global south. Because that would make you feel uncomfortable feelings.
It’s not about wanting to actually help humanity and fix the world’s problems, it’s about you and your feelings.

Is this Liberal as in a specific political party or is OP complaining about activists for human rights? Because if so I don't think OP's camp is capable of helping fix the world's problems, they are one.

I think they're specifically referring to the group the considers itself 'liberal' in American politics.

my friend forgot the genocide joe slogans despite his great concern about the activists, you really bad at this propaganda, even liberals are better liars. And the protestors opposed genocide joe unlike you friend. https://www.democracynow.org/2025/5/1/headlines/israeli_news_investigation_confirms_biden_administration_did_not_try_to_end_genocide_in_gaza

it would seem his memory is truly not very good https://www.nationalreview.com/news/biden-once-called-for-israel-to-defend-itself-including-killing-women-and-children-report/

lets also recall that the liberal kamala lost election because she wouldnt oppose genocide so even the voters dont match your lie.

is that a joke? Joe Biden ~~initiated~~ the Gaza genocide

edit: facilitated the Gaza genocide. It doesn't matter much morally

The Gaza Genocide was lit up by an Iran and China sponsored attack by Hamas on a civilian music festival and then in retaliation the Israeli Netanyahu administration started destroying cities and agriculture alike, limiting aid into the region, etc. China also vetoed the only ceasefire resolutions which included release of hostages.

Every US Administration thus far has backed Israel, they're an important military strategic ally against Russia and China, but Biden reportedly spent a lot of time cussing Netanyahu out over the phone trying to limit civilian casualties, he withheld payed for large bombs in the assumption Israel wanted to use them on cities, he made sure to get aid in including the flotilla and airdrops.

Israel and China favored the Trump reelection, and once Trump was in he bragged about delivering those large bombs and full stopping all aid shipments for weeks.

let me offer you some moral clarity: Iran is not responsible for the Gaza genocide. China is not responsible for the Gaza genocide. Israel and the United States, Benjamin Netanyahu, Joe Biden, and Donald Trump, are responsible for the Gaza genocide.

Joe Biden was morally required to do more than "cuss out" Netanyahu over the phone. Give me a fucking break...

Lit up? Can you help me understand, who lit up say the holocaust? Because I thought that this logic doesnt apply to genocide.
