Besides there being little to no laptop chargers being made in Canada, are there any recommended distributors selling them?

iCAN brand is Canada Computers' store brand, though most of it is Chinese white label products shipped there. Memory express is another Canadian pc parts retailer chain (stores mostly in Western Canada).

In the GTA, I always recommend Sayal Electronics, they've got a variety of home electronic parts and chips and cables and a few other doodads, typically for less than Amazon.

I come to accept that it will very likely be Chinese made. No point for me to stress for months not buying one.

This is useful information though. Thanks! I often don't mind buying directly from companies if I can, for example directly from a Chinese company -- I guess Aliexpress might have something to compare price and service.

Just make sure it's a good quality manufacturer. I think Ugreen is available on Ali. Here in Canada you can get both Ugreen and Anker from local distributors. There may be some saving from Ali. There's other good brands on Ali but you gotta research.

I would love to, but if it's for the most uncommon laptop charging port plug I've ever seen. I'm only seeing UGreen and Anker offering USB-C solutions on their website.

Oh crap I thought we're talking USB-C. What brand is it?

There's MemEx in Toronto btw.

"Toronto.” West of the 427? Might as well still be Western Canada!

It's exceedingly unlikely to find non-Chinese/Vietnamese made charger of any kind. Even if you do, the majority lf its internals are likely sourced from there with a healthy markup taken by some corpo. For this reason I personally go straight to the source and buy top quality Chinese. I tend to buy Anker and Ugreen. Anker sells directly and I think they ship from Canada. I think Memory Express sells Ugreen.
