I've been trying to learn new songs every week but Ultimate Guitar has gotten so bloated with ads and popups that it's killing my flow. I switched to using chordroom.com recently — it's free, has like 260k songs, and the charts are super clean with no clutter.

But I'm curious what everyone else uses? I know there's Chordie, Songsterr, and a few others. What's your go-to for looking up chords and lyrics?

Internet archive has a lot of how to play guitar books as pdf's, they've got what you're looking for

i used to draw them out by hand too, which was helpful

I go to the music store and buy the book. The $15 or whatever is well worth having the music on hand whenever I want, and there has never been a pop up ad when I've opened it.

I have a UG premium account from like 2010 so I use that. Also an Adblock would help a lot if it’s bloated with ads.
